NOW
Now
When is it?
What is it?
It was this second
but no longer
I can not catch it
It keeps moving
I want to observe now, but I feel astigmatic,
Incapable to hold on to it,
Now, travels faster than anything I have seen,
so fast that I can’t see it,
as quick as I say it, it has passed.
I know my words seem to be splattering,
Now is uncanny
Now is faster than sound,
Now is faster than light,
Now is the present
Now is the precise exact moment of the present,
Now is the immediate right at this moment in time,
That is no longer now.
The moment that I say, “now”, it is no longer Now.
The moment I see the beauty of the sky,
The beauty of the black woman,
The beauty of the ocean,
the children,
It is no longer now,
If it is not now then what is it,
Now then no longer ceases to
be Now because it has moved on
It is Then
When is it?
What is it?
It was this second
but no longer
I can not catch it
It keeps moving
I want to observe now, but I feel astigmatic,
Incapable to hold on to it,
